The Story Behind Anokha – The Unique
In 2004, a middle-class girl Ms Anjitha Anand from a small village in Kerala dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. She pursued a Bachelor’s in Costume & Fashion Designing and a Diploma in Merchandising, but life had other plans. Marriage, motherhood at 24, family responsibilities and a teaching career kept her dream waiting. Yet, her love for colours, fabrics and unique designs never faded. In 2024, she finally chose to follow her passion. She left teaching and began her journey as a fashion entrepreneur, mother and wife. Her journey to Cochin — the Queen of the Arabian Sea, where cultures and traditions beautifully merge, further inspired her creativity. Today, she carefully designs every ANOKHA creation — and she herself models ANOKHA, wearing her own creations and bringing her vision to life.
